Visit Connecticut's Arboretum! We are open to the public every day from sunrise to sunset, free of charge.
91³ΙΘΛ Arboretum, located in southeastern CT, was founded in 1931 and has 750 acres featuring the Native Plant Collection, Caroline Black Garden, Greenhouse, Campus Landscape, Goodwin Natural Area, Mamacoke Island, and Bolleswood Tract.
We provide an educational connection with the natural world and a place to get away for recreation and reflection.
Visit
The Main Entrance is located at approximately 830 Williams Street, New London, CT. Park along Williams Street. The Arboretum Offices are located at 33 Gallows Lane across from the North Entrance with additional parking and restrooms available weekdays.
We offer self-guided tour brochures, groups tours by request, free-guided tours May-October and environmental education tours for school-aged children.

Plant Collections
The 91³ΙΘΛ Arboretum manages four major plant collections containing 6,247 individual, accessioned living plants. Origin, date of acquisition, size, location and evaluation are documented and mapped by curator on a five-year rotating basis in The Native Plant Collection with Special Collections and Gardens, the Caroline Black Garden, the Greenhouse and the Campus Landscape.
In addition to our Plant Collections, our Natural Areas are well worth a visit.
Maps and Guides
Using the College's Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Lab, we have created numerous interactive maps to help navigate through our collections. Printable self-guided tour maps are also available to plan out your visit.
Learn With Us
The Arboretum offers programs, an annual photo contest, bulletins and publications to help foster learning of our 750 acre arboretum. Resources to promote ecological landscaping are available on our website. Come learn with us!
Programs
Each month we offer a variety of programs to inspire, teach and engage. 91³ΙΘΛ Arboretum programs are open to the public. Many programs are free or available at a discounted rate for members and for current 91³ΙΘΛ students. Some programs require registration so keep an eye out for our emails and instagram posts for upcoming programs.
